Fieldcrest Farms - Poultry & Pork
Aaron and Jenny Brown live on a 22 acre farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia. Their passion for growing their own food has grown over the past 15 years as the commercial food industry quality declined. Jenny began by growing organic gardens and preserving much of the fruits and vegetables they ate throughout the year. In 2013, they started growing pasture raised broilers and hogs. Their goal when raising their own meat is to provide high quality non-GMO feed to their animals, plenty of fresh grass, sunshine, and land to roam. Treating them lovingly and humanely from day 1 until the freezer is high priority. They raise Freedom Ranger broilers, which are ideal for free range, foraging, and pasture environments and produce tender, succulent meat with more yellow omega 3 fat and less saturated fat than fast growing breeds. Their hogs are usually mixed breed hogs which are ideal for all pork cuts desired as well as heart healthy fat high in vitamin D, and a great source of healthy cholesterol. Aaron and Jenny have 4 children they homeschool, ages 14, 12, 9, and 6. They founded Brown Landscape Construction, Inc. in 1994, and are owner/operators of the business to this day. Jenny is passionate about helping people have good health on all levels, and is a natural health educator with doTERRA.
